“Christina Grace is a very exceptional person who has the capacity to become a respected artist in today’s contemporary art world. Her paintings are a reflection upon American painting of the early sixties and seventies. Her abstract configurations, with a great gestural input, are highly intuitive and full of emotions. As an independent international curator, I do believe that her way of being and painting reflects the contemporary attitude to address life in a more intuitive way. These works have the capacity to inspire a large public.
One could compare Christina’s work with that of Sam Francis and Robert Motherwell. In her own style she combines the Western abstract painting style with the calligraphy of the East. As the artist, she experimented in the eighties and nineties with alternative expressions in the arts including dance and theatre. She stayed focused on a path of spiritual growth and enlightenment and allows that to speak through her work. It is clear that all these elements together result in the use of an imagery that addresses a more profound way of living. Christina Grace’s work is uplifting and optimistic, but at the same time it is deeply sincere and emotional.”
